Herbie Farnworth attracting attention
Brisbane Broncos centre Herbie Farnworth has attracted the attention of five rival NRL clubs. (Fox Sports)
The England-born centre has made 42 appearances for the Broncos and is off-contract at the end of the current season.
He has previously been linked with a move to new NRL outfit Dolphins.
Chris Hankinson on first win with Toulouse
Former Wigan centre Chris Hankinson says Toulouse’s first Super League win was even sweeter than expected. (Mirror)
Toulouse picked up their first victory of the season with a 22-20 score over St Helens.
He told the Mirror: “Being a Wigan lad, it makes it even more sweet to do it against our old rivals. I never beat Saints in all my time at Wigan! I played them three or four times but always just fell short.”
Nene Macdonald impresses once again
Leigh centre Nene Macdonald was voted the Our League man of the match following his side’s 26-16 victory over Halifax.
The Papua New Guinea international now has eight tries in seven appearances so far in 2022. The strong off-season capture will no doubt be catching the attention of Super League clubs for the 2023 season and beyond.

Super League Team of the Week
Super League revealed its team of the week yesterday. Jai Field had yet another impressive performance for Wigan in their win over Castleford. Matty Russell and Tony Gigot have both been named following Toulouse’s first win of the season over champions St Helens. Two representatives from Salford were also named following their win over Leeds on Friday night.

Danny Ward favourite to become next Leeds head coach
Super League’s sponsors Betfred have Danny Ward as their favourite to become the next coach of the Rhinos at 2/1.
The odds follow the resignation from Richard Agar, who has taken the decision to stand down from his role at the club.
Betfred are also offering odds on Danny McGuire (10/1), Jones-Buchanan (12/1), Michael Maguire (25/1), Kevin Sinfield (25/1) and Daryl Powell (33/1)
Jamie Peacock makes the list at 50/1, alongside Barrie McDermott at 66/1.
Ryan Hampshire returns
Ryan Hampshire made his return to the field with Castleford’s reserves over the weekend.
The former Wakefield full-back has joined Lee Radford’s side for the remainder of the 2022 campaign.
