Featherstone mean business
Championship favourites Featherstone proved they mean business in 2022 with an impressive 22-18 home victory over Super League’s Wakefield.
Josh Hardcastle opened the scoring. Further tries from Craig Kopczak, Craig Hall and Morgan Smith saw a victory for the hosts.
They open their Championship campaign against York on January, Monday 31st.

New Summer Bash venue revealed
The Championship Summer Bash is back for the first time in three years in 2022 – and heading for Headingley!
The iconic home of Leeds Rhinos has been selected to host the sixth gathering of all 14 Championship clubs on the weekend of July 30-31.

Wigan watch: Logan Astley
18-year-old Logan Astley made his first senior appearance for Wigan in their pre-season victory over Newcastle Thunder. (Wigan Today)
He has been named as one to watch in the future by head coach Matt Peet during the club’s recent media day. Wigan defeated their Championship opponents 42-12, with Sam Halsall crossing for a hat-trick.
