Rochdale 2020 squad numbers: Sam Freeman to wear the No.1 shirt
New Rochdale signing Sam Freeman will wear the number one shirt vacated by Declan Kay in 2020.
Freeman arrived at the club in the off-season following his release from Widnes. He slots straight in at full-back, with Kay linking up with Championship Oldham this term.
Lewis Sheridan will take over Scott Moore’s number six shirt after he left the club midway through last season, while former Leigh forward Sam Hopkins will be number 32 for the Hornets in 2020.
Sean Penkywicz will wear number nine this year, with previous incumbent Ben Moores switching to number 20.
The Hornets have also left the number seven shirt free after Dan Abram made the move to Oldham.
