Salford boss Ian Watson hailed Kevin Brown following their win over Hull.
Leeds centre Harry Newman suffered a horrific leg break in their win against Hull KR.
Warrington chief executive Karl Fitzpatrick says the revised government guidance this week was a hammer blow to clubs, who were hoping to welcome back fans next week.
Hull owner Adam Pearson has warned it could be armageddon for rugby league if specific support isn’t forthcoming from the government, and that clubs could die by March.
Wakefield are considering going in to lockdown after another outbreak of cases at the club.

What’s in the papers
Wigan coach Adrian Lam hasn’t yet held talks about his future, but that’s how he likes it, according to Wigan Today. Lam is on a one-year rolling contract and wants to stay, and says the situation is keeping him on edge – which is a good thing.
