There are a lot of new features and transfer news currently on site while there are preview shows to watch on the box.

What’s on site

Castleford Tigers forward Mitch Clark has joined Featherstone Rovers on loan while Workington Town have signed youngster Dan Norman on loan from Widnes Vikings.

With the Betfred Super League and Betfred Championship seasons on the horizon, we have got more previews on the site and we most recently focus on Wakefield Trinity, Dewsbury Rams and Toulouse Olympique.

Hull KR have named Shaun Lunt captain for 2018 while Rémi Casty will continue his role as skipper of the Catalans Dragons this season.

Warrington Wolves and Leeds Rhinos have named their 19-man squads for the Betfred Super League opener as well as Hull FC and Huddersfield Giants naming theirs as well for Thursday night’s game.

In our latest ‘twitter talk’ feature, fans have reacted to the possibility of the Hearns getting involved with Rugby League which makes for interesting reading.

What’s in the papers

Gareth Walker’s scouting report for The Mirror has returned and in the latest edition, he has looked at Masi Matongo – the Zimbabwean-born trainee accountant being tipped for a big future at Hull FC.

Lee Radford, Hull head coach, told The Mirror: “I’m expecting big things from him this year.”

The Daily Star claim that Leeds Rhinos are ready to charge as Brian McDermott fires blood and thunder warning to the champions.

Leeds boss McDermott told the Daily Star: “There is an intensity about the way we train and how the players operate with each other which is a great thing.”
