Ryan Morgan gets maximum Man of Steel points against former club
On-loan London Broncos centre Ryan Morgan picked up the three Man of Steel points for man of the match in the dramatic win over parent club St Helens on Sunday.
Morgan, 29, is in the final year of his deal at St Helens but is spending the season on loan at the Broncos, where he has scored four tries in 14 appearances.
He was allowed to play against his parent club, for whom he played 50 times in 2017 and 2018, as Super League’s bottom club caused an upset.
Warrington star Blake Austin now has a six point lead at the top of the Man of Steel leaderboard, after picking up another three points over the weekend.
Of the other players in the top 10, only Liam Watts and Daryl Clark registered points in round 17.
