Salford agree new deal with Lui
Rob Lui has signed a new long-term contract with Salford.
The Australian half-back has formed a consistent partnership with Michael Dobson, and Head Coach Ian Watson is pleased to have him commit his future to the club.
“Rob is a really important player for us,” said Watson.
“He has come from being a back up in Australia to a key part of our side and the development in his game has been obvious in the two years he has been here – he’s three points off the lead for the Albert Goldthorpe Medal and his performances deserve that.
“Rob is great to work with – he’s always willing to learn and he has a great relationship with the rest of the team, something that will only help us going forward.
“Rob has been has been the player that everyone has been asking me when he’ll be re-signing which shows the impact he has had in his two seasons with us.
“After negotiations I’m ecstatic that we’ve managed to re-sign one of the best half-backs in the competition.
“This again signals our intentions to bring in and keep top quality at this club. Rob is a real entertainer and will be worth the admission money alone for Sunday’s game, and the game against Leeds next week.”
