Salford forward pair sign Swinton loan deals
Swinton have extended the loan deal of Salford forward Gavin Bennion and also landed his team-mate Levy Nzoungou.
Bennion, 23, has already made five appearances for the Lions this season and has extended his loan by a month.
The former Rochdale prop joined the Red Devils in the off-season.
Meanwhile, Congo-born Nzoungou, 20, will also link up with the Lions.
He came through the ranks at St Helens before going Down Under with Melbourne, and played for Toulouse in the Championship in 2017.
He has also played for Oldham and Whitehaven already this season in League One.
Swinton coach Stuart Littler said: “I’m absolutely delighted. Gavin has been outstanding for us so far this year, and I would like to thank Ian Watson and Salford for their support in agreeing both of these loan deals.
“We have a massive month ahead and these two lads will give us some real strike power and further options within our squad. Alongside our valuable dual-registration agreement with Wigan, our great relationship with Salford continues to give us a real boost in support of our playing squad.”
Swinton remain winless in the Championship this season though did at least register their first point with a draw at Barrow over Easter.
The two signings were made possible by the club’s “Pride Builder Fund”, contributed to by supporters.
