Salford re-launch date confirmed

Salford owner Dr Marwan Koukash is set to re-launch the club for the 2014 season prior to the final home game of the season against Widnes on 6 September.

Recruitment for the next campaign has been underway for a while with three players already officially announced in Adrian Morley, Francis Meli and Junior Sa’u.

The club website reports that four further players have signed and that the Reds are in the final stages of signing three others.

At the request of the current clubs of these players, Salford have agreed to temporarily postpone this weeks’ planned announcement on signings.

However the club will now host a major event unveiling the new Red Devils branding, kit and website, as well as revealing the new players who will be taking to the field next season.

In their final season as Salford City Reds, the club are currently 13th in the Super League table with six wins from their 23 fixtures so far.
