Braveheart Ryan Brierley ready to play if called upon
Brierley, who wasn’t named in Hanley’s 29-man squad in April, has a chance to represent his Scottish heritage next weekend by playing in game against England.
When asked which of his players are on international duty next weekend by Love Rugby League, Rowley replied: “We’ve got Morgan (Escare) in there for France, we’ve got (Rhys) Williams for Wales.
“Tim Lafai and Kenny (Sio) are in the Combined Nations.
“Ryan Brierley got a call as well so he might be featuring in the Nations depending on injuries. I think he’s on standby, so I’m particularly pleased for him. I think it is great recognition for Ryan and we wish all our players well.
“We fully support the international weekend, you’d get no resistance from us as a club.
“It is an important weekend and it should be the highlight of any player’s career. We are right behind it.”
