Shaun Lunt joins Batley for 2020
Batley Bulldogs have announced the signing of Super League hooker Shaun Lunt for the 2020 Championship season.
Lunt, 32, has made over 300 career appearances including stints at Workington Town, Castleford Tigers, Huddersfield Giants, Hull KR and Leeds Rhinos, as well as international representative honours for England and England Knights.
At the end of the 2019 season, Lunt confirmed he will not be a Leeds player in 2020 after making the switch from Hull KR to the Rhinos, where he made six appearances.
He has one Grand Final victory with Leeds Rhinos in 2012, defeating Warrington Wolves 26-18.
Additionally, he has made three Challenge Cup final appearances and was the 2017 Championship Player of the Year.
Chief Executive Paul Harrison said: “This is a massive signing for the club. To have a player with this level of experience is invaluable and we’re excited to be welcoming Shaun to the Bulldogs.”
