Sheffield announce a host of re-signings
Sheffield have announced a host of re-signings ahead of the 2021 Championship season.
Anthony Thackeray, 34, has re-signed with the club for the 2021 campaign. He impressed in his debut year with Sheffield with a man-of-the-match performance at Wembley Stadium in the 1895 Cup Final.
Full-back Josh Guzdek has signed a new one-year deal with the club, having also helped the Eagles to the 1895 Cup in his debut year at the club.
Half-back Izaac Farrell has signed a new one-year deal, having only joined the club ahead of the 2020 season from Rochdale.
Oliver Davies will go into his fourth year with the Eagles having signed a new one-year deal. The back-rower also works for the club’s foundation – coaching rugby league in schools across the city.
Prop forward Blake Broadbent has signed a new one-year deal with the club. He made a try-scoring debut in 2018 against Leigh before becoming a regular fixture in the squad during 2019.
Greg Burns has signed a new one-year deal for 2021, having come through the Eagles reserves system.
