Sheffield Eagles 2013 squad numbers

Sheffield, who kick-off the new Championship season against Halifax next Thursday, have announced their squad numbers for 2013.

New signing Pat Walker takes the number six shirt vacated by Simon Brown‘s departure to York, while Tom Armstrong takes the number four shirt.

Head Coach Mark Aston said: “The lads have been training really hard lately and some have really stood and been rewarded for this.”

“If a player is under performing, that’s not to say they won’t be replaced.”

“We have competition for places across the squad this year and whoever is putting the effort in training, regardless of their number will be given a place in the playing squad; it’s as simple as that.”

“We were all disappointed we didn’t get to play our friendly in Limoux but it was a great chance for the squad to get to know one another and we had some excellent training sessions and got a really good look at everyone ahead of the season.”
