Shoulder blow for Scruton
Bradford have suffered yet another injury blow with the news that Nick Scruton has been ruled out for three months.
Scruton, 27, had a scan last night on the shoulder injury he sustained in last weekend’s win at Hull KR, and the scans have revealed he requires a shoulder reconstruction.
Bulls Football Manager Stuart Duffy said: “It’s another blow for us and we are certainly under the cosh as far as injuries are concerned but we will stick together and play with the cards we are dealt with.”
Bradford, who host St Helens on Saturday night, have lost a number of players through injury already this season, including new signing Luke Gale.
Scruton has appeared off the bench in five of Bradford’s six Super League games so far, sitting out the home defeat to Warrington.
He is due to make his 150th Super League appearance on his next outing, having began his career at Leeds back in 2002, making his debut as a 17-year-old in a win over Wigan.
