Sky Sports confirm coverage until Super League Round 22, including relegation crunch clash
Sky Sports have confirmed their coverage for Super League Round 22, including the potential relegation battle between Wakefield and Castleford at Belle Vue.
The fixture will now be played on Friday, August 18, with currently just two points separating the sides at the bottom of the Super League table.
It was originally scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 20.
Leigh Leopards’ home tie with Catalans on Saturday, August 19, will also be broadcast live by Sky Sports.
Later this week, Round 19 will kick-off from the Totally Wicked Stadium as Super League and world champions St Helens take on Steve McNamara’s Dragons.
On Friday, Daryl Powell’s Warrington look to turn their season around with a trip to the DW Stadium to face Matt Peet’s Wigan, who most recently fell to a shock golden point 27-26 defeat to Wakefield.
Huddersfield host Hull FC in Round 20 on Thursday, July 27, before St Helens take on Rohan Smith’s Leeds Rhinos the following day live on Sky Sports.
In Round 21, Warrington host Catalans (Friday, August 4) and then two days later Leeds face Adrian Lam’s Leigh with a 3:00pm kick-off.
There will then be a break from the Super League action due to the Challenge Cup final, which will return to Wembley later this year on Saturday, 12 August.
For the first time, the Women’s Challenge Cup final will also be a part of an action-packed day, alongside the 1895 Cup final.
Super League returns on Friday, August 18, when Castleford and Wakefield go head-to-head.
