Sky Sports to show six Magic Weekend classics in May

Sky Sports have announce they will show six Magic Weekend classics over the weekend of May 23-24.

On Tuesday, Super League announced that this year’s Magic Weekend has been postponed due to the coronavirus crisis.

Super League officials are hopeful of staging the event at some point later in the year depending on how the rugby league season resumes and recovers from the pandemic.

But Sky Sports will fill in the void over the May 23-24 weekend by showing six classic matches across both days.

More than 18 hours will be shown over the course of the weekend, with the days being filled with a combination of 15 minute highlights and six full games.

Saturday, May 23

3pm: Huddersfield v Salford (2012)

5pm: Wigan v Leeds (2014)

7pm: Hull KR v Hull FC (2012)

Sunday, May 24

1pm: Castleford v Wakefield (2012)

3pm: St Helens v Warrington (2013)

5pm: Bradford v Leeds (2007)
