SL Preview: London Broncos v Castleford Tigers
London Broncos host Castleford Tigers knowing a win will take them off the bottom of the Super League table.
Broncos slipped behind Salford last weekend after losing to Catalan and watching the Reds beat Widnes.
Daryl Powell’s Tigers thrashed rivals Wakefield over Magic Weekend and have won two of their last three games but will be dragged back into the mire if they lose to London.
London coach Tony Rea is able to recall Tony Clubb, Michael Channing and Chris Melling after all three recovered from injuries. Clubb took over the captain’s armband in midweek and will lead the Broncos out against Castleford. Antonio Kaufusi also returns to the squad after serving a suspension.
Castleford name an unchanged squad for the trip to the capital. Rangi Chase is in Powell’s 19-man squad despite rumours of his end-of-season departure surfacing during the week.
London Broncos 19-man squad: Bailey, Bishay, Bryant, Channing, Clubb, Cook, Dixon, Dorn, Fisher, Gower, Kaufusi, Krasniqi, McMeeken, Melling, Mendeika, Robertson, Rodney, Wheeldon, Witt.
Castleford Tigers 19-man squad: Owen, Carney, Shenton, Dixon, Chase, Ellis, Walker, Clark, Huby, Hauraki, Millington, Milner, Massey, Holmes, Thompson, Tansey, Fleming, Mason Boyle.
Prediction: Tigers impressed beating Wakefield and London are winless in three – Castleford win.
