Smith hails improvement from last week
Warrington coach Tony Smith was happy to see his side seal a convincing result in the second half of last night’s game after a poor first 45 minutes against Salford.
The Wolves ran out 40-14 winners against Salford Red Devils at the Haliwell Jones Stadium.
“There are still a couple of patches where we were a bit shaky but there was definitely improvement from the 1st half,” Smith told Sky Sports.
“Ryan [Atkins] has been in good form for a while now, he’s having a pretty good season and I thought Joe Westerman was terrific as well. He really bossed things around in the middle.
“There were a lot of strong performances, Ashton Sims made a difference coming back into the side this week.
“There is still plenty of work for us to do but I am more positive this week.”
