Smith: There are lessons to be learnt
Warrington head coach Tony Smith admits his side were too careless in the second half, surrendering a lead and eventually succumbing to a 35-28 defeat at the hands of Wigan.
“That second half was well in our control but great credit to Wigan. They lifted when they went a man down,” Smith told Sky Sports.
“I thought they had some harsh calls and we had a couple of harsh calls as well.
“You have got to be able to manage those and some of ours were self-inflicted.
“We had a bit of a blueprint in how we could put points on them and we went away from that, we got a bit impatient.
“That’s a learning process for a few people out there, sometimes the hard way and we will learn some big lessons for hopefully some of the big games to come.”
