Sonny Bill Williams outsider for 2020 Man of Steel award

Toronto’s blockbuster signing Sonny Bill Williams is the fourth favourite to claim the 2020 Steve Prescott Man of Steel award.

Super League sponsors Betfred have released their odds for the 2020 Steve Prescott Man of Steel award.

Current winner Jackson Hastings is joint favourite alongside Warrington half-back Blake Austin to win the award.

Some of Super League’s new faces are included in Betfred’s top 13 candidates. Dual-code legend Williams is priced at 16/1 to win it while playing for Toronto, while Catalans’ marquee man James Maloney is 14/1.

Warrington’s second marquee player Gareth Widdop, who is currently on tour with the Great Britain Lions, is 16/1 to scoop the prestigious award.

Wigan speedster Bevan French is a huge outsider at 33/1 with Super League and Love Rugby League partners Betfred.
