Souths pack a massive challenge, says Foran
Kieran Foran says Manly will have to stop South Sydney‘s rampaging forward pack if they are to get a win on Friday.
Both teams are in white-hot form having lost just one match each so far this year.
But playmaker Foran, who captained New Zealand in Friday’s Anzac test defeat against Australia, says the clash at Brookvale will be a “massive challenge”.
“Souths have been one of the better teams all year, and they’re going to offer a massive challenge for us this Friday,” Foran told Manly’s official website.
“Its not the be all and end all, but it will be a good confidence booster if we can get the win. I think both teams will get a real look at how they’re travelling after Friday night.
“It’s obviously where they get all their momentum down the park through the forwards, and it’s going to be a massive task to try and nullify their go forward.”
Both teams are close to full strength for the match although Manly back-rower Glenn Stewart‘s expected return from a knee injury has been delayed.
