St Helens confirm player departures including Grand Final winner
Outside back Josh Simm is one of several player departures confirmed by St Helens following the end of the 2022 season.
Simm, 21, scored seven tries in 19 appearances for Saints, including a memorable hat-trick against Leeds in 2020.
Initially coming through as a centre, all but one of his eight appearances in the red-vee were on the wing in 2021. He also featured five times on loan at Hull FC.
He was recalled early from that loan spell, though only featured once for Saints after his return, in the defeat to Wigan at the end of August.
The former Thatto Heath junior was a prolific try scorer for the club’s academy sides during his progression through the ranks.
His destination remains unknown. Josh Simm is believed to have held talks with a number of Super League and Championship clubs.
@JoshSimm01 was a mainstay in each academy side he played in for the Saints. in 2019 Josh played 25 times for the under-19s side, scoring 29 tires, and was rewarded with his debut against @LondonBroncosRL

2019 Grand Final winner departs
Hooker Aaron Smith, who spent the 2022 season on loan at Leigh, is also leaving the Totally Wicked Stadium.
Smith made his Saints debut in 2018. He went on to make 41 appearances including in the 2019 Grand Final win over Salford. The signing of Joey Lussick last winter and the evergreen James Roby saw him seek opportunities elsewhere.
He played in Leigh’s Championship Grand Final victory over Batley that secured their promotion to Super League.
Saints have also confirmed the departure of Nigeria international Rio Osayomwanbo-Corkill.
