St Helens duo return to Leigh on loan
St Helens duo Josh Eaves and Matty Foster have returned to Leigh on one-week loan deals.
Hooker Eaves, 23, and back-row forward Foster, 20, both linked up with the Centurions earlier in the season and will re-join the club on loans that will be reviewed week-by-week.
Foster has recovered from his double jaw fracture and, alongside Eaves, will look to feature this week as Leigh welcome Hull KR to the Leigh Sports Village on Sunday.
Leigh caretaker coach Kurt Haggerty said: “It’s great to have Matty and Josh on loan with us, they both bring energy and professionalism.
“Both players are thought highly of from their previous loan spell with the club so it’s great to have them back with us.”
Leigh have also announced the signing of former Hull and Toronto centre Jack Logan with immediate effect.
The 25-year-old began the season in the Championship with Batley but re-joined Hull on a month’s loan but was released from his deal this week so he could join the Centurions until the end of the season.
Haggerty said: “It’s great to have Jack with us until the end of the season.
“He’s athletic and has a good skill set. Jack can play any position in the outside backs and adds value to our playing roster.”
Logan said: “Everyone I’ve spoken to who’s been at Leigh can’t speak too highly of the place. I’m buzzing about the move.
“Joe Cator, Cam Scott, Tommo (Jordan Thompson) and Ryan Brierley are all mates of mine and they all told me what a passionate town Leigh is for Rugby League and about the great facilities at the Sports Village.
“I’m passionate about what I do and want to play well and enjoy my rugby. This move gives me that opportunity and I intend to make the most of it.
“Looking at the club from a distance you can see what a great club Leigh is. Everyone knows about the drive and ambition of Derek Beaumont and that always comes across when Leigh gets talked about.”
