St Helens v Catalans: Quartet set for Saints debut
A quartet of new signings could make their debut for champions St Helens in the opening Super League clash of 2022.
Kristian Woolf has named his 21-man squad to face Catalans on Thursday night at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
Will Hopoate, Joey Lussick, Curtis Sironen and Konrad Hurrell have all been named in the squad.
Sironen did not feature in the club’s only pre-season test against Leigh and could make his first appearance on Thursday.
Sione Mata’utia also missed the win over Leigh in Alex Walmsley’s testimonial due to suspension, but he returns this week.
St Helens go into the season without winger Regan Grace. The Wales international will miss the first month with an elbow injury.
