Stewart to stand trial
Manly fullback Brett Stewart has been ordered to stand trial to face charges of sexual assualt.
The 25-year-old is accused of assualting a 17-year-old girl near her home on the northern beaches of Sydney in March last year.
The incident is alleged to have taken place following a boozy Sea Eagles season launch held at a Manly Hotel.
A magistrate has decided that there is enough evidence for Stewart to stand trial before a jury at Sydney’s District Court next month.
Stewart is due to face court again on April 9.
