Stone: Giants are showing consistency
Rick Stone believes a reduction in the number of errors made by Huddersfield has been the key to their recent good form.
The Giants head into Sunday’s game at Salford on the back of a four game unbeaten run and Stone says his team are heading in the right direction.
“We’re starting to show more consistency now – we’ve organised our errors and we’ve stopped leaking soft tries,” he told the club’s official website.
“We’ve controlled the ball a little bit better and kicking and chasing better and if they keep doing that then they will give themselves a chance every week.
“Salford have been playing consistently all year and they started off the year with everyone thinking they were the surprise package, but they haven’t stopped.
“They’ve consistently performed and competed well in every game they’ve played and they haven’t let themselves down.
“They’ve got a number of good, quality players in and around the ball with the likes of (Michael) Dobson and (Todd) Carney.
“They’re a formidable team and they’re consistent, so it’s going to be another good challenge for us.”
