It is time for Love Rugby League’s Sunday Social, your alternative recap of the serious and not so serious talking points from the past seven days.

It’s safe to say that Sonny Bill Williams was a man in demand at Toronto’s season launch even this week. The 34-year-old is set to make his long-awaited Super League debut in the Wolfpack’s season-opener against Castleford next Sunday.

Ever heard of a Malcolm? Warrington’s Anthony Gelling, Danny Walker, Dec Patton and Jason Clark, plus Head of Performance Ade Gardner, explain the training drill that players dread the most.

It’s safe to say that Wigan flyer Joe Burgess got his timing all wrong on Thursday night. The 25-year-old completely misjudged a high bomb, clattering into the helpless Cameron Scott in the Warriors’ pre-season friendly against Leigh.
Some fine-tuning to the timing is still required. Poor Cameron Scott. #RugbyLeague pic.twitter.com/wPUyx5wHbG

He had an impressive debut year in 2019 and secured a place in the Super League Dream Team. But can Konrad Hurrell repeat the feat in 2020? Here’s a nice little compilation of his best bits from the last campaign.

And finally, Luther Burrell seemed pretty pleased about opening his account for Warrington. He latched onto Luis Johnson’s short ball to score in Mike Cooper’s testimonial match on Thursday night.
