Sunday Social: Hurrell shows his moves, Williams makes Canberra debut & Toronto nilled for the first time

It is time for Love Rugby League’s Sunday Social, your alternative recap of the serious and not so serious talking points from the past seven days.

Leeds showed they mean business this season after a 36-0 mauling of Warrington at Emerald Headingley. Try scorer Konrad Hurrell celebrated post-match in jovial manner in front of the Rhinos faithful.

Hurrell’s dancing didn’t stop there. He even had time to bust some moves in his post-match interview in front of the TV cameras – great to see!

Canberra fans got their first sighting of new recruit George Williams in a Raiders jersey this weekend after he debuted in their 12-10 pre-season victory over the Canterbury Bulldogs.

Toronto were nilled for the first time in their short history on Saturday as St Helens ran out 32-0 winners at Warrington’s Halliwell Jones Stadium. The Wolfpack remain without a win in 2020, but at least they are staying optimistic.

Jackson Hastings had the opportunity to meet one of his idols, with legendary half-back Johnathan Thurston touring the UK for a series of insights and talks. I’m sure Hastings will be as keen to have just as much success as the legendary Australian achieved during his playing days.

And finally, it looks like Danny Richardson is starting to settle into life at Castleford. The 23-year-old produced a man of the match display as the Tigers went two points clear at the top of Super League with victory away at Hull KR.
