Super League preview: Leeds v London
Leeds will be looking to win their thirteenth consecutive home match with London, when they welcome Tony Rea’s side to Headingley Carnegie.
The Rhinos have had a perfect record in their own back yard against the capital club (as London Broncos) since 2001, winning ten Super League and two Challenge Cup meetings, and only losing to the visitors when they were known as Harlequins in 2011.
The Broncos’ last away win at Leeds was 18-6 on 15 September, 2000 – in the final regular season game of Super League V.
That win was London’s last victory over the Rhinos on English soil – with the Yorkshire side emerging as winners on 17 of 19 occasions since.
The sides fought out a 36-36 draw at Brentford’s Griffin Park on 18 July, 2004; with the Broncos’ solitary win coming 32-24, in a game played at Perpignan’s Stade Aime Giral, on 9 July, 2005.
Ryan Hall, Ian Kirke and Rob Mulhern come into Brian McDermott’s 19-man squad, whilst London make one change with Iliess Macani replacing Jordan Atkins.
