Super League preview: St Helens v Catalan

test

Winless Catalan will be hoping history is on their side when they visit early pace-setters St Helens.

The Dragons have won on both of their previous trips to Langtree Park, with Saints’ last home victory over the French side coming at Knowsley Road in 2011.

Apart from that there is not much promise for head coach Laurent Frayssinous, who is without 11 players due to injury or suspension.

Young forwards Gadwin Springer and Maxime Scimone are set to make their Super League debuts.

Head coach Nathan Brown has no such problems, although he does bring prop Anthony Walker into his squad.

Saints favourite Paul Wellens will be making his 500th appearance if he features.
