Super League stats: Jai Field top of three leaderboards
Wigan full-back Jai Field leads the way with tries, metres and clean breaks so far in the 2022 Super League season.
The in-form 24-year-old has scored 14 tries so far this season. He has scored first for Wigan in six fixtures in 2022.
Field has made 1,672 metres so far this season. He ran for 245 metres against Salford on Sunday as his late length-of-the-field try saw Wigan claim a 30-24 victory live on Channel 4.
The former NRL man has also made the most clean breaks with 18.
Salford’s Ken Sio scored his 13th try of the season against the Warriors at the DW Stadium. He sits second behind Field, with Tommy Makinson on 11 in third.
Both Ryan Hall and Josh Charnley have eight.
Makinson is second for metres, with 1440. The winger did not feature against Castleford on Friday night for St Helens.
Leeds’ Ash Handley recorded 137 metres against Toulouse on Friday, taking his tally to 1,352 in third place. Fourth and fifth spots are taken by Hall and Tom Davies with 1,331 and 1,313 respectively.
Try assists in Super League
Four players are joint with 13 try assists so far in 2022. Jack Welsby, Josh Drinkwater, Tui Lolohea and Jake Connor all at the top. Catalans’ Drinkwater and Huddersfield’s Lolohea were the only two to register an assist in the latest round of action.
Tony Gigot has 11 try assists. Jake Trueman and Cade Cust both have 10.
Innes Senior has recorded the most carries so far in 2022 with 174. He made 19 against Warrington on Saturday in Huddersfield’s defeat. He is 10 above next best Joe Westerman, Derrell Olpherts and Ash Handley with 164.
Both Marc Sneyd and Gareth O’Brien have kicked 28 goals so far this season.

Hull hooker Danny Houghton has completed the most tackles so far in 2022 with 404. He has missed just 16.
Salford’s Andy Ackers is next best with 386 and then Paul McShane with 380.
Winger Matty Russell has made the most tackle busts with 47, with Field behind with 46. Mahe Fonua and Lolohea both have 44.
Warrington’s Peter Mata’utia has the most offloads so far with 19, while John Bateman has made 18.
