Super League stats: Impressive day for Tyrone May
Catalans’ Tyrone May created four try assists and scored one himself in the club’s 44-12 victory over Castleford last Friday in the Super League.
May, 25, made the switch to Super League with the Dragons ahead of the 2022 campaign. He has made 11 appearances so far this season, and has a total of five try assists. Saturday marked his first try in the Super League.

Jake Connor made a further three try assists against Toulouse to take his tally to 16 for the season so far, the most in Super League.
The 27-year-old also kicked six goals in his side’s 48-12 victory over Toulouse on Saturday. The victory saw Brett Hodgson’s side jump to fourth in the table.
Top try scorers
Jai Field continues to lead the way with tries in Super League. He failed to register a try against Warrington on Friday, but has 14 to his name so far.
Salford’s Ken Sio has 13 tries and Tommy Makinson 11. Neither wingers managed to cross as St Helens defeated Salford 14-10 on Friday. However, goal-kicker Makinson did convert three goals to help guide his side to victory.
Luke Yates tackling machine
Huddersfield captain Luke made 40 tackles against Wakefield on Thursday night, live on Sky Sports. Catalans skipper Ben Garcia completed 32 tackles, and Paul McShane made 28.
Field made 60 metres against Warrington in just 40 minutes, taking his tally to 1,732 for the season – the most in the competition.
Makinson made 59 metres. Ash Handley impressed in Leeds’ win over Hull KR, tallying a total of 147 metres in 20 carries. Despite the defeat, Ryan Hall made 144 metres at Headingley Stadium last Friday.
Winger Tom Davies made 153 metres against the Tigers.
Matty Ashton registered two clean breaks against Wigan last week. Jai Field leads the way with 19, completing one against Daryl Powell’s side.
Toulouse winger Matty Russell made three tackle busts in their defeat at Hull, taking his total to 50 for the season. Field registered two more for 48, while Derrell Olpherts made three against the Dragons.
Gareth O’Brien now leads the way from the boot, with 30 conversions so far. Marc Sneyd has 28, while Makinson has 26.
