Tahu makes shock American code switch
Former NRL star Timanu Tahu has signed to play rugby union in the US for the new Denver PRO Rugby club.
Tahu last played in the NRL in 2014 for the Newcastle Knights.
The 35-year scored 121 tries in 196 games for the Knights, Parramatta and Penrith. Tahu also played for NSW and Australia.
He switched codes from rugby league to union in 2008, playing for the Waratahs and Wallabies. Tahu switched back to the NRL in 2010.
PRO rugby competition is the first professional rugby union competition in America and starts next month.
