Kiwi prop Karl Temata has signed on for his seventh season in the capital with Harlequins.

Temata, 32, joined the then London Broncos in 2005 from New Zealand Warriors and despite being restricted to just 13 games last season, he has been snapped up for 2011.

Acting head coach Rob Powell said: “He has had a hard two years with injury but when fit, he is one of the most consistent props in the competition and an asset to any club.”

Born in Whangarei, Temata featured for the Cook Islands at the 2000 World Cup, featuring on the wing against Wales, before he matured in to a tough front-rower in the NRL.

He said: “I have been in London for five years and I am very comfortable here and consider it my home. I have so much confidence in the club and will do my best to take them up the table next season.”

Temata moved to the UK at the back end of the 2005 season and was Quins’ player of the year in 2009.
