TikTok star features in Super League club’s promotional video
Super League side Warrington have visited viral convenience store Wakey Wines ahead of their Round 11 clash with Wakefield.
TikTok star Mohammed Azar Nazir has seen his store trend and grow in popularity following its online rise to fame.
The off-licence store in Marygate, Wakefield, has more than 820,000 followers on the social media platform, with more than 20million likes.
Warrington mascot Wolfie was the latest visitor of the store, with the official account sharing the video to promote the side’s upcoming clash with Mark Applegarth’s Wakefield Trinity at the Halliwell Jones Stadium this Friday.
Kids can attend the fixture for a quid, as seen in the video, alongside the famous catchphrases: “What’s the best shop in Wakey? Wakey Wines,” “Abdul, come closer, Abdul, go back,” and “Bingo bingo, Gala bingo.”
Customers have travelled hundreds of miles to visit the Wakefield store, having rose to fame following its extortionate prices for Logan Paul and KSI’s Prime energy drink at £100 per bottle.
Warrington are also promoting ‘friend for a tenner’ ahead of the fixture.

Warrington enjoy successes on and off the field
Warrington have enjoyed a successful start to the 2023 campaign on and off the field under Daryl Powell.
The side had gone eight games unbeaten at the start of the season to record their best-ever start to a Super League campaign.
They fell to their first defeat in Round Nine against Wigan, before losing 28-6 to St Helens at the Totally Wicked Stadium ahead of the timely international break in Warrington.
The Wire sit second on the Super League table on equal points with Wigan, sharing a record of eight wins in 10 games.
Meanwhile, Warrington celebrated a new record attendance at the Halliwell Jones Stadium as 15,026 supporters watched on against Matt Peet’s Warriors earlier in April.
The new figure surpassed the previous record of 15,008 set on Good Friday in 2016 when Warrington defeated close neighbours Widnes Vikings.
Warrington boast an average attendance of 11,718 so far in 2023 across five home fixtures, bettering their 2022 record of 8,719.
Their highest attendance last year came against St Helens in Round 13 with 10,476 watching on. They have already surpassed that number on four occasions this year with 11,082, 12,073, 10,797 and 15,026.
Additionally, 9,616 attended the Round Three fixture against Salford.
Warrington’s media team are no strangers to viral videos, having seen their response to Arsenal’s controversial mascot video viewed more than 230,000 times on Twitter just last month.
