Hull KR have released forward Tom Garratt from the remainder of his contract by mutual agreement.

The 27-year-old joined the Robins from Championship side Dewsbury ahead of this season on a two-year deal.

Garratt made six appearance for Hull KR but has not played since April due to several concussion complications. He made his Super League debut against Huddersfield.

“Hull KR can confirm Tom Garratt has been released from the remainder of his contract by mutual agreement,” a club statement read.

“Tom leaves with the best wishes of everyone at the club.”

Hull KR 2023 recruitment

Hull KR have announced the signing of five players for their 2023 Super League campaign. Most recently, they confirmed that Wakefield’s James Batchelor will be making the switch on a two-year deal.

Louis Senior will be joining the Craven Park side from Huddersfield after turning down a new deal with the Giants.

Incoming head coach Willie Peters will also bring along three NRL recruits in Tom Opacic, Sauaso Sue and Rhys Kennedy from Down Under.

Current interim boss Danny McGuire has also hinted at more potential recruitments during the off-season.

“I think there’s potentially more bits of business to be done,” he said. “Don’t hold me on that, though!”

“Potentially, we’re always on the look out for players to add something to the squad, a bit of depth or competition. There’s potential that there’s a little more to be done.”
