Tony Maurel commits for eighth season at Toulouse

Toulouse winger Tony Maurel has signed a new deal at the club.

Maurel, 26, joined Toulouse back in 2012 and has made more than 150 appearances, including 16 last season when he scored eight tries.

He said: “I am very happy to stay in TO. I have total confidence in our group to finally achieve our goal.”

Maurel scored twice for France on his international debut back in 2015, a 68-8 win over Serbia.

Toulouse chairman Bernard Sarrazain said: “Tony is a model for young treizistes the region. It shows that the highest level is accessible. I am very happy to have him.”
