Following their relegation to the Championship for 2023, Toulouse have confirmed a dual-registration agreement with Catalans for the upcoming campaign.

The partnership will allow Catalans players to feature for the Championship side, with Toulouse having suffered relegation in 2022 from Super League. Sylvain Houles’ side only claimed five wins from 27 during the season, eight points below next best Warrington.

Toulouse’s return to the second division will be broadcast live on the RFL’s Our League as they visit Barrow Raiders on Saturday, 4 February.

Meanwhile, Catalans open their Super League season on Friday, February 17 with a trip to Wakefield.

Toulouse confirmed the news on Thursday, adding in a statement: “This is not the first time that the two French clubs have launched such an agreement. This had notably been the case for Arthur Romano and Jodie Broughton.”

Catalans stated: “Catalans Dragons are delighted to announce a dual-registration agreement with Toulouse for the 2023 season.

“This agreement will again see Catalans players available to play for the Championship club.”
