Toulouse Olympique announce 2023 squad numbers with only 19 players confirmed
Toulouse Olympique have announced their squad numbers for the 2023 Championship season with only 19 players confirmed.
Sylvain Houles’ side open their new campaign with a trip to Barrow on February 4.
The French outfit, who suffered relegation from Super League in 2022, have only named a 19-man squad ahead of their return to the second division.
New signings Josh Ralph and Jake Shorrocks will partner each other in the halves, having joined from the Queensland Cup and Newcastle Thunder respectively. They have received shirt numbers six and seven respectively.
Scotland international and off-season recruit Calum Gahan takes the number nine jersey, having joined from London Broncos.
Sitaleki Akauola has received shirt number 15 ahead of his debut season in France. Meanwhile, Cook Islands international and new signing Reubenn Rennie will wear number three.
Olly Ashall-Bott has been promoted to the starting full-back shirt.
In a statement, Toulouse confirmed that the club are looking to add to their pack with “at least” one more signing. Meanwhile, other local players are still hoping to earn a chance with the first-team squad during pre-season training.
The club also announced a dual-registration partnership with Catalans for 2023.
