Toulouse Olympique announce first signing for 2023 Championship season
Relegated Toulouse Olympique have made Scotland’s World Cup scrum-half or hooker Calum Gahan their first recruit for their 2023 Championship campaign.
The 25-year-old Darwin-born Gahan played for the Norths Devils in the Queensland Cup from 2018 to 2021 before joining London Broncos for the 2022 season.
He made his first appearance for Scotland in their World Cup warm-up game against England Knights in October before going on to play in all three of the Bravehearts’ Group B matches against Italy, Australia and Fiji.
Toulouse coach Sylvain Houles said: “Calum is a very dynamic player behind the play-the-ball who brings a lot of uncertainty and speed. He is very enthusiastic and passionate about rugby league.”
