Toulouse secure promotion

Toulouse Olympique will play in the Championship in 2017 after defeating Barrow 32-22 in the promotion playoff.

Toulouse proved too strong for the Raiders on their home soil in the second half after a close first 40 minutes.

The score was 6-4 at half-time with Olympique just two points ahead.

The French club secured promotion at the second time of asking, after being upset by Rochdale two weeks ago.

Toulouse only entered League 1 this year.
