Triple injury blow for Castleford
Castleford have been hit with injuries to half-back pair Rangi Chase and Jamie Ellis, as well as hooker Ryan Hudson.
Both Chase and Ellis suffered leg injuries in last weekend’s defeat against Warrington, and have failed to regain fitness in time for tonight’s clash with Wigan.
Hudson, meanwhile, came down with a stomach bug on Thursday which has also ruled him out of action.
Head Coach Ian Millward said: “It is disappointing that Rangi, Jamie and Ryan won’t be available to us tonight. When naming Rangi and Jamie in the squad on Wednesday we were hopeful that they would be right.
“Our physio and the players themselves have worked really hard but unfortunately they have both failed late fitness tests and are not fit enough to play.”
Forwards Steve Nash and Oliver Holmes have been drafted in to a revised 19-man squad.
