Tuimavave relishing competition at Hull
Hull FC stand off Carlos Tuimavave is energised by the spirit and competition for places amongst the club’s squad in preseason.
Last season saw the Airlie Birds land the jackpot by winning the Challenge Cup, and the Kiwi is prepared to switch positions when needed to help the cause this time around.
“There’s obviously a lot of challenge for spots, that’s just going to make everyone work a lot harder,” said the former junior New Zealand international,” he told his club’s official website.
“Everyone will have to be on their game week-to-week to keep their position. I’m looking forward to the challenge, and I’ll be happy to play anywhere.
“It’s going to keep everybody on their toes. They have to work hard and they can’t afford to have that week off.
“Lee radford [Hull coach] is going to make it difficult for everyone as well. You can’t afford to have a week off, so I’m looking forward to it.”
