TWITTER TALK: Fans react to England beating France
England won 36-6 against France to progress through to the quarter-finals of the 2017 Rugby League World Cup and fans have had their say on social media.
Wayne Bennett made five changes to his side that beat Lebanon last weekend. Kallum Watkins, Ryan Hall, Josh Hodgson, Elliott Whitehead and Chris Heighington were replaced by Mark Percival, Kevin Brown, James Roby, Mike McMeeken and Scott Taylor.
Three Lions star Gareth Widdop opened the scoring for England while Stefan Ratchford and James Graham also crossed the whitewash for early tries which saw England lead 18-0 within the first eight minutes.
Mark Percival and John Bateman scored later on in the first half before Benjamin Garcia pulled one back for France, but England were in a comfortable 26-6 lead at the half-time interval.
Only two tries were scored in the second half and they were both by England ace Jermaine McGillvary. England ran-out 36-6 winners and will face Papua New Guinea in the quarter-finals next week.

Well done England, a good win. Notice the 'experts' are concentrating on how better we should have been especially in 2nd half, some people never bloody satisfied. Wayne knows we can get better.

A clinical display ?? We were better than the French and that's what matters. The game was won in the first 10 minutes and then it was in coast mode, use the squad and get ready for the next game. A good win but not clinical

Great win? Great game? Some people make me laugh ? If happy beating pub teams all well and good. Have to look at big picture we got no chance of winning this !!

Kevin Sinfield spot on, Wayne Bennett preparing for next big game, quite a few changes made today, wish 90% was about celebrating the win through to quarter finals and 10% only on negativity.

Not clinical enough in second half. Will have to be against PNG. Good win all the same.

Far too many changes and players out of position to give a complete performance but still got to be better! #RLWC17 #ENGvFRA

Job done.

Second half poor. Just not good enough. Lack the killer instinct that the aussies and Nz have. They dont put the cue on the rack once the game is won.

Need to stop the handling errors or against better opposition we will be punished.

Lockers proving his worth again today. Nowhere near as good without him in second half #ENGvFRA #RLWC2017
