Two players banned following Round 21 of Super League
The Rugby Football League’s match review panel have given suspensions to Leeds prop Matt Prior and Huddersfield half-back Olly Russell after Round 21 of Super League.
Prior will miss Leeds’ upcoming games against Salford and Hull KR.
The disciplinary panel handed the Australian prop a two-match ban for a Grade B high tackle in their 36-32 comeback win over Catalans Dragons in Perpignan.
Meanwhile, Russell will miss Friday’s home clash with Hull. The 23-year-old was given a one-match penalty notice for a Grade B trip in their 32-22 win over Warrington.
Danny Houghton (Hull), Chris McQueen (Huddersfield), Joe Chan (Catalans), Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook (St Helens) and Elijah Taylor (Salford) were all charged but the match review panel but will not miss any games through suspension.
The disciplinary panel gave a caution to Castleford forward Adam Milner over a dangerous contact in their 32-6 derby defeat to Wakefield on Friday.
Milner will be free to play in their trip to champions St Helens on Sunday afternoon. However, the Tigers will be without Australian utility Jake Mamo, who failed a HIA in their match against Wakefield.
