Two positive coronavirus cases confirmed in weekly update
Super League’s weekly COVID-19 update has confirmed the two positive tests confirmed by Leeds and Wakefield this week.
Out of 577 tests this week across the 11 Super League clubs, there were 575 negative results.
The full programme of games will go ahead unaffected this weekend.
Earlier today, Leeds confirmed that one member of their squad who played in the win over Huddersfield last weekend had received a second positive test and will continue to isolate.
Three other players have been forced to stand down as part of the track and trace protocols.
Another player who reported symptoms to the club on Wednesday has returned a negative test, and subsequently returned to training.
Wakefield, who take on Huddersfield in a re-arranged Super League game this afternoon, reported a positive test earlier in the week, with the Giants also forced in to a re-shuffle as a result of the Leeds outbreak.
