Ulugia hoping to keep his place at Bradford

Bradford Bulls three-quarter Chris Ulugia hopes that his brace of tries at the weekend will see him keep his first-team place.

The Samoan-born player bagged his brace in the Bulls’ 40-4 win over Featherstone Rovers, and he is hoping for the chance to score more tries this coming weekend.

“I really enjoyed myself at Featherstone, it was good to get over the line on a couple of occasions too,” Ulugia told his club’s official website.

“I made a mistake early on, which was frustrating, but I did what I could to make up for it.

“The scoreline doesn’t entirely reflect what was a very difficult test for us, in my opinion. For a long period, it was difficult to score.

“However, having said that, I thought our overall team performance was the best yet. We were pretty ruthless and that is how we are going to need to play in order to get where we want to be this year.

“Hopefully I have taken my chance and done enough to keep my spot in the team for another week.

“This is a new level of rugby league for me and I am continuing to adapt, so the more game-time the better.”
