Wakefield pair set to return
Ben Jeffries and Paul King are set to return from injury for Wakefield’s Easter programme.
Jeffries, 29, has been out since suffering a thigh injury in the defeat by Huddersfield at the start of March while King has been troubled by a virus for several weeks, and hasn’t appeared for John Kear’s side since victory over Catalans on February 7th.
The pair have both been named in the Wildcats’ 19-man squad for the visit of Castleford on Friday.
Kear said: “Ben’s injury turned out to be more long lasting than we originally forecast and it’s good to have him available for selection again.
“Paul’s been unlucky. But now that he’s fully fit again he’s coming into contention for a place in the first team.
“Competition for places in the front row is tough but a fully fit Paul King is a real asset to this club and he’s in my thinking for the game against the Tigers.”
