Ward handed new Quins deal
Former Leeds, Castleford and Hull KR prop Danny Ward has signed a new one-year deal with Harlequins.
Ward, 30, moved to the capital in September 2007 and played 26 games for the club last season.
He said: “I have spent three years in London and I can honestly say I haven’t been happier at any other club.
“The lads and staff are all great and I am happy we have agreed my contract. I wasn’t looking to leave and am looking forward to cracking on with pre-season.”
Acting head coach Rob Powell is delighted the Yorkshireman has signed on again saying: “Danny had a big year for us in 2010, often playing lots of minutes due to a lack of props or people off the bench. His experience and character, along with his ability, will be vital for us moving forward in 2011.”
