WATCH: Tony Gigot scores impressive try in France with powerful solo effort
Tony Gigot scored a fine solo try in Albi’s 24-20 victory over Limoux in a top of the table clash in the French Elite 1 competition.
Gigot returned to France with Albi earlier in January for the rest of the 2022/23 season.
The 32-year-old full-back or half-back left Toulouse at the end of last year following their relegation from Super League.
He was named in the halves for Albi’s clash against Limoux over the weekend. Former Barrow and Hull outside-back and France international Hakim Miloudi also featured, named at starting full-back.
Albi had found themselves 20-4 down at half-time before completing a sensational second-half comeback to claim the victory, with Gigot scoring the match winner late on.
The game was streamed live on Youtube, with former Super League and NRL forward Jason Clark featuring for Limoux.

Big names in the French Elite 1 competition
Gigot is one of several former Super League and NRL stars to currently feature in the French Elite 1 competition.
Papua New Guinea international James Segeyaro became the latest ex-NRL star to make the move earlier in November, linking up with Lezignan.
The 32-year-old hooker currently plays alongside former NRL half-back and good friend Corey Norman, as well as ex-Australia international James Maloney.
Maloney, 36, originally made the move to the competition from Catalans in 2021, and extended his contract for the 2022/23 campaign.
Former Super League forwards Jason Baitieri and Antoni Maria are also a part of the current Lezignan squad. Having made five appearances in the NRL, prop forward Kurt Dillon also made the move for 2023.
Ex-Warrington and Catalans back-rower Benjamin Jullien is currently plying his trade with Pia following his release from Catalans.
Meanwhile, full-back Morgan Escare joined the competition with Carcassonne last November. His current side currently sit at the top of the table with 12 wins from 14, with Limoux second.
Lezignan sit third in the table, with Albi fourth.
